What are African drums all called?

There is no single name for all African drums. There are hundreds of different types of drums across the African continent, each with its own unique name and characteristics.

Here are some examples of common types of African drums:

* Djembe: A goblet-shaped drum popular throughout West Africa.

* Talking Drum: A hourglass-shaped drum used in Nigeria and other West African countries to mimic speech.

* Dundun: A large bass drum used in West Africa, often played in ensembles with other drums.

* Kora: A harp-like instrument with a gourd resonator often considered a drum in certain musical contexts.

* Shekere: A gourd drum with beads woven into its netting, producing a rattling sound.

Therefore, it's impossible to assign a single name to all African drums, as each type has its unique characteristics and cultural significance.
