- On the inside of the lid: The serial number is often stamped on the inside of the piano lid, near the manufacturer's name and logo.
- On the back of the piano: The serial number may also be stamped on the back of the piano, near the tuning pins.
- On the soundboard: The serial number may also be printed on the soundboard (the large wooden panel inside the piano that vibrates when the keys are played).
