Rod Morgenstein is an American drummer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his work with the jazz fusion band The Dixie Dregs, as well as his collaborations with Steve Morse and other musicians.
Morgenstein was born in New York City in 1953. He began playing drums at an early age and studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. After graduating, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he joined The Dixie Dregs. The band released several successful albums and toured extensively throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
