How many musical ragtime pieces are there?

It is impossible to state exactly how many musical ragtime pieces there are, as there is no definitive list or database of all ragtime compositions. However, it is estimated that over 100,000 ragtime pieces were published in the United States during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Of these, only a fraction have survived and are still performed today.
