SOS Coin Trick Tutorial

Even if you don't know much about magic tricks, you've probably seen a trick that is known as the SOS coin production. This trick involves producing a coin in your hand seemingly out of mid-air. Of course, this is actually a sleight-of-hand trick that can be learned fairly quickly.

Instructions

      Take a coin in one hand between your thumb, index and second fingers. Hold your other hand out with the palm exposed.

      Make like you are going to place the coin into the palm of your hand. Move the coin to the palm of your hand.

      Close the palm of your hand while simultaneously snapping your second finger in the coin hand down, which will position the coin parallel behind your index finger, hiding it.

      Keep your hand closed and pull the other hand away. An audience will think that the coin is in the closed hand.

      Open the closed hand to expose nothing in the palm. This is a hallmark SOS coin trick that even the most novice or aspiring magicians can perfect in a relatively short amount of time.
