How much weight can a high e guitar string hold?
High E guitar strings, which are the thinnest string on a standard steel-string guitar, generally cannot hold much weight at all. They are designed to withstand the tension of being tuned to pitches within the normal guitar tuning, but are not intended to bear significant weight. Attempting to hang or suspend large weight using a guitar string, particularly a high E string, could result in the string snapping or stretching beyond its intended use.
