Who was the first person to play Oboe?

The earliest known record of the oboe dates back to the mid-17th century. It is believed that the oboe was invented by the French instrument maker Jean Hotteterre in 1650, and the earliest known oboe player was his son, Jacques-Martin Hotteterre, also a notable French composer and oboist.
