What big composers wrote music for the Alto Saxophone when it was first invented?

There were no composers who wrote music for the alto saxophone when it was invented because it was not yet in existence. The alto saxophone was invented by Adolphe Sax in 1846. The earliest known composition written specifically for the alto saxophone is "Fantasie pour Saxophone Alto et Orchestre" by Désiré Dihau in 1850.
