What happened to duane allmans guitars after he died?

Duane Allman's guitars were distributed among his family and friends after his death in 1971.

Gibson Les Paul: His 1957 Gibson Les Paul Standard, nicknamed "The Layla Guitar", was acquired by Eric Clapton, who used it on the Derek and the Dominos album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs.

Gibson SG: Allman's 1961 Gibson SG Standard, nicknamed "The Woman", was given to fellow Allman Brothers Band member Dickey Betts.

Fender Stratocaster: His black 1957 Fender Stratocaster was given to his then-wife, Roxanne Allman.

Slide Guitars: Allman's slide guitars, including a National Resonator and Silvertone, were passed on to his brother, Gregg Allman.

Some of the guitars were later sold, traded, or exhibited in museums. The fate of each guitar may vary, but they remain highly sought after by collectors due to their historical and sentimental significance.
