What is an ocean drum?
An ocean drum is a percussion instrument that produces a sound reminiscent of ocean waves. It consists of a round wooden frame, usually between 10 to 15 inches in diameter, with a goatskin or synthetic drumhead stretched across one side. The inside of the drum is filled with small beads, lentils, or other small objects, which create the "ocean" sound when the drum is tilted or shaken. Ocean drums are often used in meditation, sound therapy, and music to create a calming and soothing atmosphere.
