How many types of violin are there?

There are two major types of violins:

1) Acoustic Violin: This is the traditional type of violin that produces sound through the vibration of its strings. It is played by drawing a bow across the strings.

2) Electric Violin: This is a modern variation of the violin that uses pickups and amplifiers to produce sound. It can be played with a traditional bow or with electronic controls.
