Did Beethoven play piano all the time even after he became deaf?
Beethoven continued to compose and play piano, even after he became completely deaf in 1817. He would hold a rod, called the "hörrohr," between his teeth and the soundboard of the piano, enabling him to feel the vibrations and play the piano while being able to hear the music. Additionally, he would use notebooks to communicate, and his close friends would help him by relaying what was said at rehearsals and performances. Despite the challenges of his deafness, Beethoven remained dedicated to creating and sharing his music with the world.
