On January 24, 2014, WWE announced the launch of the WWE Network, a 24/7 streaming network featuring all WWE programming, as well as original programming. The network launched on February 24, 2014, with a free month trial before requiring a subscription fee.
The WWE Network is available to viewers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. WWE has plans to expand the network to additional countries in the future.
The WWE Network offers a variety of programming, including live WWE events, such as WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series; classic WWE matches and events; original documentaries and reality shows; and exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
The WWE Network has been a success for WWE, with the company reporting that it had over 1.3 million subscribers as of January 2019. The network is a major source of revenue for WWE, and has helped to increase the company's overall value.
