How does a pan flute work using the word intensity?

Pan flutes do not use the principle of intensity to produce sound. The pitch of the sound produced by a pan flute is primarily determined by the length of each pipe. Longer pipes produce lower pitches, while shorter pipes produce higher pitches. The intensity or loudness of the sound is primarily determined by the amount of air blown into the flute and the size of the pipe.
