Why do my drum sticks break?

Here are some reasons why drum sticks might break:

- Strike force: the force generated by the drummer.

- Stick material strength: the ability of the stick to resist fracture at the contact point with the drum.

- Playing technique: the impact angle of the stick on the drum head, the wrist snap, and the force of the player's grip on the stick.

- Materials fatigue: the gradual reduction of the stick's strength due to repeated impacts.

- Stick design: the shape, taper, and durability of the stick.

- Defects in the stick such as cracks, splits or knots: This can often cause the stick to break unexpectedly.

- Drum kit design: the size and tension of the drum heads, and the position and angle of the cymbals.
