Can an ukulele have a metal string without breaking it?

Ukuleles traditionally use nylon strings, but it is possible to use metal strings. However, metal strings can create too much tension on the neck of the ukulele and cause it to warp or crack. Additionally, the higher tension can make the ukulele more difficult to play. For these reasons, it is generally not recommended to use metal strings on a ukulele.
