How many types of accidentals are there in piano?

There are three main types of accidentals in piano: sharps, flats, and naturals.

- Flats (b) lower the pitch of a note by one half step.

- Naturals (♮) cancel the effect of a sharp or flat, restoring the note to its original pitch.
