What is theme music?

Theme music, also known as a title theme or theme song is a piece of music that is associated with a particular film, television show, radio program or other media. It is usually played at the beginning and/or end of the show or during certain segments, such as the opening credits or commercial breaks. Theme music is often used to set the mood and tone of the program and can help to create a sense of identity for the show. It can also be used to convey important information about the show, such as its genre or subject matter. In some cases, theme music can become just as iconic as the program itself and is often remembered long after the show has ended. Some examples of famous theme music include the "James Bond Theme", the "Star Wars Main Title" and the "Game of Thrones Theme".
