How did Debussy drown the sense of tonality?
Debussy did not drown the sense of tonality. He was a master of harmony, and his music is often praised for its beautiful and complex chord progressions. Debussy did, however, challenge traditional notions of tonality by employing unusual scales, such as the whole-tone scale, and by using unresolved dissonances. This can create a sense of ambiguity or instability in the music, but it does not mean that Debussy's music is atonal.
