How to Learn Sufi Music

The term Sufi refers to Islamic mystics who believe in Sufism. Sufism is an ascetic sect of the Islamic faith that dates back to about 661 CE, during the Umayyad Dynasty. The dance, music, and culture of the Sufi reflect their views on the afterlife; one of their key beliefs is that nothing exists except God. Learning Sufi music must include learning the way of the Sufi for it to be properly appreciated.
