How to Look for Gold Circle Tickets for the Essence Music Festival

The Essence Music Festival is held every year in New Orleans and features the latest and most popular music groups, artists and entertainers in soul, R&B and comedy. To truly experience the festival, you want to be near the action. The gold circle seats are center stage and offer access to the VIP lounge. The location of the seats also offers participants the greatest opportunity of being escorted on stage, being touched or sung to by a major recording star or being singled out by the festival's comedian emcee.

      Go to Essence Music Festival's website and click on "Tickets."

      Select the "Platinum VIP Festival Weekend Package." This package includes a gold circle ticket center stage to all three days of the event, access to the VIP lounge during the festival, VIP seating to the empowerment seminars and a complimentary one-year subscription to Essence Magazine. You will be redirected to Ticketmaster's website, which handles the ticket sales for the event.

      Select a specific date or purchase tickets for all three days of the festival.

      Choose the number of tickets. As of April 2011, the price for a one-day gold circle ticket starts at $750, and three-day gold circle tickets start at $2,350.

      Select the "Platinum VIP Floor" for gold circle tickets. The Platinum VIP Floor offers seats in the section center stage.

      Add the ticket(s) to your order and your shipping preference. There is no fee for standard shipping, but there is a fee to rush the Essence Music Festival tickets. Press "Continue" after selecting shipping method.

      Enter your full name, mailing address and debit or credit card information to process the order for your gold circle tickets.
