What does pitch and tone mean?
Pitch refers to the highness or lowness of a sound, while tone refers to the quality or timbre of a sound. Pitch is determined by the frequency of the sound wave, with higher frequencies corresponding to higher pitches. Tone, on the other hand, is determined by the shape of the sound wave and the presence of overtones. It is what allows us to distinguish between different instruments or voices, even when they are playing or singing the same note.
