An Easy Way to Read Piano Notes

Reading piano notes on sheet music can be difficult at first, but there is an easy way to learn now. This method involves writing in the notes on the sheet music and using acronyms for memorization. It allows you to learn the basics of sheet music notation so you can recognize and read piano notes without difficulty.

      Get some piano sheet music and look at the top five lines of the music staff, the treble clef staff.

      Starting from the bottom line of the first staff, write the following on each line: Every (the E note line), good (the G note line), boy (the B note line), does (the D note line), fine (the F note line).

      Write in the spaces of the first staff the following letters: F, A, C and E. This will spell "Face" and is the acronym you want to use for remembering the spaces.

      Now look at the bottom staff, the bass clef staff. Write in the following letters in the spaces: A, C, E, G. This can be an acronym for "all cows eat grass."

      Write the following letters on the lines of the bass clef staff, starting with the bottom line: G, B, D, F, A.
