1. Tuning: Guitar in standard tuning (E A D G B E).
2. Riff Rhythm: Slow and steady tempo.
3. Position: Play in the lower frets (5th to 7th frets).
4. Chords:
- Begin with an open G chord (index and middle finger on the 3rd fret of the A and D string, respectively)
- Palm mute the G chord by lightly resting the palm of your picking hand on the strings while strumming.
5. Picking Pattern:
- For the palm-muted G chord, use a simple downstroke, upstroke, downstroke, upstroke (DUDU) picking pattern.
Drums:
1. Rhythm: Steady, slow marching beat.
2. Kick and Snare:
- The bass drum plays on beats 1 and 3.
- The snare drum plays on the 2 and 4 backbeat.
3. Hi-hat:
- Closed hi-hat on beat 1, slightly open on beat 3.
