1. Meet the Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a citizen of the United States.
- Be between 20 and 38 years old.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have a clean criminal record.
- Meet the physical, mental, and psychological requirements for special operations.
2. Enter the Military:
- Enlist in the United States Army and complete basic training and advanced individual training (AIT).
- Become an officer by either attending the United States Military Academy (West Point), earning a Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship, or obtaining an Officer Candidate School (OCS) commission.
- Successfully complete the Army Special Forces Qualification Course (SFQC) and earn the Special Forces Tab.
3. Apply for Delta Force Assessment and Selection (A&S):
- Meet additional criteria, such as having served at least two years in a Special Forces Operational Detachment-Alpha (ODA).
- Submit a request to attend A&S, which is conducted at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
4. Attend Assessment and Selection:
- Undergo a rigorous multi-week evaluation process that tests physical fitness, mental toughness, leadership abilities, and more.
- Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in various areas, including land navigation, small-unit tactics, marksmanship, close-quarters combat, and more.
5. Complete Delta Force Training:
- If selected, you will attend the Delta Force Operator Training Course (OTC), which lasts approximately six months.
- OTC focuses on advanced special operations skills, tactics, and techniques required for Delta Force missions.
6. Join the Delta Force:
- After successfully completing OTC, you will be assigned to Delta Force and become part of one of the most elite special operations units in the world.
Remember that the Delta Force selection process is highly competitive, and only a small percentage of candidates make it through. It requires exceptional physical and mental abilities, a commitment to excellence, and a willingness to work as part of a team in high-risk environments.
