Which army cantonment started the revolt in 1857 India?

The Indian Rebellion of 1857, also known as the Sepoy Mutiny, began at the Meerut Cantonment in Uttar Pradesh, India.

The rebellion was sparked by the controversial greased cartridges of the Enfield rifle, which were rumored to be lubricated with animal fat (pig and cow), considered sacrilegious by both Hindu and Muslim soldiers.
