Places in Boston, MA That Play Jazz Music on Saturday Nights

Jazz in Boston dates back most prominently to the High Hat (the first club in the South End of Boston) and the days of Sonny Stitt, Harold Layne and Sir Charles Thompson, all of whom played with the legendary Duke Ellington. Today, musicians from the Berklee College of Music and Emerson College continue the jazz tradition in venues throughout the city. A few venues feature these musicians along with top jazz names on Saturday nights.
