Classical Music Concerts in Los Angeles

Los Angeles has many world-class classical music events and venues. For open air performances, the Hollywood Bowl hosts concerts each Tuesday and Thursday during their regular season, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall has a diverse selection of classical music events. For free concerts, try "Sundays Live" at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
  1. Baroque Variations

    • This series sponsored by the Los Angeles Philharmonic hosts various early music ensembles from counties like Spain, Germany and France. Concerts take place roughly every other month throughout the year. Subscriptions are available and range in price from $184 to $388, as of September 2010.

    Tuesday Classics at the Hollywood Bowl

    • This concert is performed each Tuesday at the Hollywood Bowl throughout the year. It features classical favorites like Mozart and Debussy. Each concert has a theme and is programmed accordingly. The venue is outdoors and subscriptions are available. Tickets in September 2010 range from $1 to $100 depending on seating location.

    Sundays Live at Los Angeles County Museum of Art

    • These concerts occur every Sunday at 6 p.m. The performance space is in the Leo Bing Theater in one of Los Angeles's biggest art museums. The artists performing hail from both the Los Angeles area and elsewhere in the world. The event is free to attend.
