Select either the album that the band is currently promoting or one of their best-selling and most popular albums and transpose the cover art onto a shirt. Album, or CD, cover art usually deals with a thematic element of the piece or an ongoing band motif. Find a cover image that easily traceable and also easily recognized. Place the art underneath the front or back of the shirt and trace it with a ballpoint pen or fine marker. Color the image using fabric safe colored markers, keeping with the color scheme of the original piece. On the opposite side of the copied image, write the band name in a font akin to the one used in the artwork.
Declare your loyalty to the touring band by incorporating its logo or brand onto your concert shirt. Many musical groups have either an image or certain way that their name is presented to help identify them as a group. Examples are the Rolling Stone lips and tongue, the Beatle's yellow submarine, Aerosmith's wings, and the Grateful Dead's skull. Find an image of the logo that you would like to use either online or from some cover art. Place the logo either under the front or the back of the shirt, and trace and color it using fabric safe colored markers or pens. Usually the logo or brand is extremely recognizable, so using writing the band's name on the shirt may be unnecessary.
This concert shirt idea is good for those who are better at printing than drawing. On the front of the shirt, write the band's name and the name of the concert tour. On the back side, print out a list of all the dates and locations of the concerts, writing the beginning concert specs at the top and then listing them downward. If you are a huge fan of the band, list the names of all their tours on the front, and then list the general dates and areas toured on the back.
