How to Adjust a Strobe Light

Strobes lights are a great visual aid when performing concerts or plays. A flash tube is used to emit bright flashes of light to produce effects that imitate things such as lightning storms or make things appear in slow motion or reverse. Using a strobe light during a concert or play will attract the audience's attention, providing that "wow" factor that may keep them coming back for more.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the strobe light by plugging the power cord into the nearest electrical outlet. The strobe will begin to flash one time per second.

    • 2

Locate the strobe light speed-adjustment knob on the back on the light's frame. Turn the speed adjustment knob clockwise to increase the speed of the flash. This setting is best used to give the appearance of slow motion.

    • 3

Turn the speed-adjustment knob counterclockwise to slow down the flash speed to allow more time in between flashes. This setting is used when imitating a flash of lightning or an explosion.
