It's possible to add a headphone analog audio out jack to a stereo TV with only two weak speakers and a single coaxial digital orange RCA-type jack by following these steps:
Items needed:
* 3.5 mm stereo female to dual RCA male audio adapter cable
* RCA to coaxial digital audio converter
* Soldering iron and solder
* Wire strippers
* Heat shrink tubing
* Screwdriver
Step 1: Locate the TV's audio output port. It is usually a red and white RCA jack labeled "Audio Out" or "Line Out."
Step 2: Connect one end of the 3.5mm stereo female to dual RCA male audio adapter cable into your TV's audio output port.
Step 3: Connect the other end of the RCA to coaxial digital audio converter to the adapter cable. Make sure to match the colors of the plugs (red to red, white to white).
Step 4: Strip the ends of the speaker wires from your TV's speakers. You will need to expose about 1/4 inch of wire.
Step 5: Connect the stripped speaker wires to the appropriate terminals on the RCA to coaxial digital audio converter. The positive wire should be connected to the red terminal, and the negative wire should be connected to the black terminal.
Step 6: Cover the exposed wire ends with heat shrink tubing and shrink them using the heat shrink gun
Step 7: Connect the coaxial digital audio converter's power supply and turn it on.
Step 8: Plug your headphones into the 3.5mm headphone jack on the RCA to coaxial digital audio converter.
You can also connect an RCA cable from the converter to your receiver, sound bar, or external speakers instead of using headphones. Make sure to adjust the volume on both your TV and the connected device to a comfortable listening level.
