How to Cut Music Using Itunes

Though iTunes primarily organizes and plays audio files, it also contains basic audio editing tools that you can use to cut the length of songs in your music collection. This function is useful for removing excessive song intros and outros, highlighting portions of audio for rehearsal purposes, or isolating your favorite podcast interviews and online radio segments for future reference.

     Open iTunes.

     Right-click on the song to cut and select "Get Info."

     Click the "Options" tab.

     Select a new start point by entering the time in minutes/seconds and checking the "Start Time" box.

     Select a new end point by entering the time in minutes/seconds and checking the "Stop Time" box. Click "OK."

     Right-click the song and select "Create MP3 Version" to create a copy of the track with adjusted length.
