Open Microsoft FrontPage. This application will be located in your Microsoft Office folder if you already have it. If not, you will need to purchase the application from Microsoft and install it. Double click on the Microsoft FrontPage and the application will start.
Choose a host. In order to be displayed on the World Wide Web, websites have to have a host. FrontPage makes finding a host for your site easy. Open your Internet Browser and go to the Locate A Web Presence Provider by entering the following address: www.microsoftwpp.com/default.asp. You will be provided a list of host services that support the FrontPage format. Click on a hyperlink to learn more about each provider and choose the one that you like.
Choose a template. The best part of Microsoft FrontPage is that the site includes pre-made templates for novice web designers and is flexible enough to grow with you as you become more advanced. To start a template, click on the down arrow beside the New Page icon and choose Web. You will be presented with a list of templates to choose from. In this instance, the best template would be the Personal Web template. To choose this template, double click on the Personal Web icon.
Start designing. Every website starts with the Home Page. In order to start customizing your Home Page, double click on the Index.htm file. The Index file is always the home page in your website. Your screen will now display the template for your personal website's home page. This is where FrontPage makes website design easy. The customization of the pages works just the same as any other Microsoft Office product. You can highlight, copy, paste and insert into your webpage with the same functionality as a Word or Excel document.
Add a video. You can add your music to your website in a couple of different formats: audio, video and text. If you have video you would like to add, make sure that the file format is GIF or JPEG. To add a video, simply left click on the spot on the page where you want to add the video. Click "Insert" and then choose "Picture." Choose "Video" and then choose your video from the drop down list that appears. Finally, click "Open." Your video may not appear in the design menu the same as it will after it is published. You'll want to verify that the video is showing appropriately by previewing the page before you publish it.
Add background sound. If you want your audience to be treated to one of your songs as they enter your website, you will want to add a background audio file to your site. To do this, open the index page by double clicking on it. Right click on the page and select "Page Properties" from the menu that appears. Click on the "General" tab that appears and then click browse in order to locate the track on your computer. At this point you will want to decide if you want the track to play over and over again or only a few times. After you make the necessary updates, click "Ok." Repeat this process for every page you want to add a background audio track to.
