How to Import MIDI Into a Korg Oasys

The Korg Oasys is a device that allows you to create, save and export music. This device features a keyboard and many different tools that you can use to get that unique sound and record a melody for use with digital music editing software. The Oasys supports many different file types, including MIDI. You can not only save MIDI files, but you can also import them for use with your music by using a USB device.

      Insert the flash drive into an open USB port on your computer. Open the folder that contains the MIDI files you want to move to the Korg Oasys. Drag these files from the containing folder into an open folder on your USB drive. Safely remove the flash drive from your computer.

      Insert the USB flash drive into an open USB port on the back of the Korg Oasys. Press the "Mode Disk" button on the control panel of the device to enter Disk mode. A menu will appear on the display screen. Use the navigation arrows to move to the "Disk-Load" option and press "OK." Use the arrow keys to move to the "File" tab and select the "Load" option.

      Press the "Drive Select" button and a list of available drives will appear. Navigate to your flash drive and press the "OK" button. The contents of the drive will appear on the screen. Navigate through the folders to select the folder that contains your MIDI files.

      Press the "Page Menu" button and use the navigation keys to move to the "Load Selected" option. A confirmation box will appear. Press the "OK" button when this screen appears and the files will begin transferring. Wait for the status bar to show 100 percent, then remove your flash drive.
