Locate the music on your computer. Proceed to the appropriate folder if you know where your music resides. Access your "Music" or "My Music" folder if you don't know where to find your music files.
Open the "Macintosh HD" folder, followed by your "Home" folder (your unique user name for your Mac) and your "Music" folder if you use Mac OS X. Open your username folder followed by "My Music" in Windows 7. Open "Documents and Settings," followed by your username folder, then "My Documents" and finally "My Music" in XP or 2000.
Highlight the song files you want to remove. Drag your mouse over a series of files or hold down the "Shift" key and click each song file individually. Click on any of the highlighted files and drag them all to "Trash" or "Recycle Bin" on your desktop.
Empty your "Trash" or "Recycle Bin." Select "Finder > Empty Trash" on your menu bar in Mac OS X. If using Windows, right-click your Recycle Bin and select "Empty Recycle Bin," or open the Recycle Bin and click the "Empty Recycle Bin" button.
