Click the “Start” button, select “Programs” and choose “Windows Media Player” from the list of programs installed on your computer.
Place the CD you want to copy for free into the CD drive of your computer.
Click “Rip CD” and the CD will be copied to your computer.
Eject this CD from your computer and insert a blank CD-R.
Click the “Burn” tab inside Windows Media Player. Drag and drop the music that was copied from the first CD into the “Burn List” located in the column on the right side of the program.
Click “Start Burn.” The music will be copied onto the blank CD-R. You have now successfully copied a CD for free.
Click the “Finder." Select “Applications” and choose “iTunes” from the list of applications installed on your computer.
Place the CD you want to copy for free into the CD drive of your computer.
Click “Yes” when iTunes asks to import the CD. This CD will be copied to your computer.
Eject this CD from your computer and insert a blank CD-R.
Click “File" and select “New Playlist." Drag and drop the music that was copied from the first CD into the new playlist that appears in the column on the left side of iTunes.
Click the new playlist to highlight it, then click the “Burn Disc” button.
Confirm this selection by clicking the “Burn” button in the dialogue box that appears. The music will be copied onto the blank CD-R. You have now successfully copied a CD for free.
