Guglielmo Marchese Marconi (April 25, 1874 – July 20, 1937) was an Italian inventor and radio pioneer. He is credited with developing the radio and wireless telegraph. Marconi's first radio (or wireless telegraphy) patent was filed on June 2, 1896.
