Download, install and run Windows Media Player (see Resources).
Right-click in the left-hand pane of the Windows Media Player window, hover your mouse pointer over "Tools" and then click on "Options."
Click on the "Rip Music" tab. Click and drag the slider underneath “Audio Quality" to the left to reduce the quality and the size of the soundtrack you are about to import.
Click "Apply" to save your changes, followed by "OK."
Insert your soundtrack into the disc drive of your computer.
Click on the "Rip" tab. Click on the "Start rip" button. Your soundtrack will be ripped to your media library in a smaller size than the original soundtrack.
Download, install and run iTunes (see Resources).
Click on "iTunes" followed by "Preferences."
Click on "Import Settings."
Click on the drop-down menu next to "Import using" and select "AIFF encoder." AIFF is a compressed format that will reduce the original size of the audio files on the soundtrack. Click "OK."
Insert the soundtrack into your disc drive.
Click on "Import" when prompted. The soundtrack will be imported to your iTunes media library in AIFF compressed format.
