How to Copy MP3 Songs

MP3’s are a digital media format that allows songs to be compressed at high quality (44100Hz) and be stored, transported and copied easily. MP3’s can be played on a computer, an MP3 device, or burned to a CD and played on most CD players.

  1. MP3 Copying

      Navigate via the internet to a site that you choose that has MP3 song files. This will allow you to copy a song file from the Internet to your computer. Choose the song filer you would like to copy>RIGHT CLICK>SAVE AS>OK. Be sure that you are downloading to a folder you can find later. A good idea is to make a new folder within your music folder. To do this go to MYMUSIC>RIGHT CLICK>NEW>FOLDER>SELECT. Title is as you want.

      Choose a MP3 song file from you computer. RIGHT CLICK>COPY. Navigate to another folder, RIGHT CLICK>PASTE. This allows you to copy a MP3 from one folder to another on the same computer.

      Choose your computer music player. In Windows Media Player click the BURN tab along the top. From the left side menu drag MP3 song files to the right empty column. Select the BURN button and this will copy song files to a CD. From iTunes create a new playlist by RIGHT CLICK>NEW PLAYLIST. Title it as you like. Select songs, RIGHT CLICK> ADD TO PLAYLIST, that you just made. Put in a blank burnable CD. iTunes will ask if you want to burn a CD. Select YES and choose the new playlist. Hit BURN.
