How to Get Permission to Merchandise the Beatles

The Beatles were an influential rock band from 1957 to 1969. Members of the band included John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison. Retailers can sell The Beatles trademark merchandise or create merchandise with the logo and image of the fab four with their permission. The Beatles images and music are the exclusive right of the band and property of Apple Corps Ltd.

      Present your idea to the representative in charge of fielding merchandising requests. Final approval from Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Dianne Harrison, Yoko Ono and a contract will be required before you can proceed with manufacture and sale.

      Negotiate contract terms. Terms of negotiation will include limitations on use of name, logo and images. Include a list of countries where the merchandise can be sold.
