Pick the area of your wrist that you want to get the tattoo on. You can get it under your palm, under the back of your hand, along the side or partially on the wrist and partially going up your arm.
Base your search for the perfect wrist tattoo design on what you want the tattoo to mean. Some wrist tattoos, such as a cascade of stars, are just there to look interesting and attractive. However, many people get tattoos on their wrist that have a special meaning, such as the date of birth or death of a loved one, a Chinese symbol that means something important or American words that describes part of your belief system, such as "Carpe diem" or "Vegan."
Look at lots of designs. The more designs you look at, the better the odds that you will continue to like your tattoo. Go to several websites, parlors and designers to get just the right one.
Wait at least two months between choosing the design and getting it done. This gives you plenty of time to change your mind about the design. If you some day decide you want to remove the tattoo, you can expect it to cost at least a few thousand dollars.
Find a reputable tattoo parlor. The wrist is a sensitive area and you definitely want to go somewhere that will get it right the first time and that will take all necessary precautions to prevent infection.
