Instructions

    • 1

Research artist and repertoire (A&R) representatives who work at Jive Records, looking on professional development websites like Linked In (www.linkedin.com). Search by company name to produce a list of current employees. Having a name to address your package to increases the chances your demo will be heard.

    • 2

Find the Jive Records address. Search Companies on Linked In (www.linkedin.com) for the Jive Records main page, which lists the address. Cross-reference that the information is accurate using business directory listings such as BusinessWeek (businessweek.com).

    • 3

Write the A&R representative's name and the address of the company on the outside of the padded envelope. Place your demo recording and artist biography with your contact information inside the envelope and seal. Mail from a post office to ensure that you pay accurate postage and that your package will not be returned.
