Artists Similar to Nero

Nero is a drum and bass and dubstep duo from London, also known as NERO UK. The act consists of Daniel Stephens and Joe Ray, with Alana Watson providing vocals for many songs. Drum and bass is a form of dance music originating from the 1990s that predominantly uses electronic drums and bass. Dubstep is a relatively newer electronic dance style, dating from the 2000s. It has a strong bass, resonating drum parts, and uses samples and sporadic vocals.
  1. Chase & Status

    • Saul "Chase" Milton and Will "Status" Kennard, form an electronic production band from London, Chase & Status. They have achieved three No. 1 hits on the UK Dance Chart, and won the Best Album Award at the 2009 Drum and Bass awards in Birmingham, UK. The duo decided to change direction in 2009, and began to focus more on pop music, in an attempt to gain more mainstream fans. Their track "End Credits," released in November 2009, reached No. 9 in the UK Singles Chart. The track is featured in the movie "Harry Brown."

    Dubba Jonny

    • Dubba Jonny is an underground dubstep duo, formed in November 2009. Originally playing for house parties in Bournemouth, they now headline in clubs across the UK. They combine live electronics and drumming with DJ mixing. Dubba Jonny has had many online hits on sites such as YouTube, and big names in the dubstep field have promoted them. They signed their most noted single "Home," along with others, under the Velcro City record label.

    Sub Focus

    • Sub Focus is a single drum and bass act, formed by Nick Douwma from Guildford, UK, in 2003. In the first few months of producing, Sub Focus released a quantity of successful tracks, including "Acid Test" and "X-Ray." Andy C, co-founder of RAM Records, discovered the self-taught producer and signed him with the record label. Sub Focus toured with Pendulum in 2009 as the supporting artist.

    Skrillex

    • Sonny Moore uses the name "Skrillex," initially his AIM screen name, to distinguish his dubstep dance music from his band music. He started as a DJ for clubs in Los Angles region in 2008. He released his debut EP, "My Name Is Skrillex," for free on June 7, 2010, and his second track, "Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites," exclusively through Mau5rap, until November 19, 2010.
