Include biographical information. Talk about when you started making art, music or film. Include any past releases or paintings you have done. Include information on any members in your band as well.
Talk about your inspiration. Tell the story of how your band came together or why you started making films or painting. Acknowledge your influences. This will allow readers to know what your work sounds like or looks like.
Include a personal anecdote about your experience as an artist. This addition will humanize your EPK and will give journalists some information from which to base some questions.
Include links to or MP3 downloads of three or four songs if you're a musician. Include JPGs of artwork if you're a painter or a link to a clip from your film. Include a head shot or photo of your band.
End the EPK with information on how to contact you or your management. Place the contact information clearly on the EPK. Also include any tour dates that are upcoming or where people can see your work displayed.
