How to Get a Band on Spotify

Spotify is a music program that allows you to listen to a variety of music from across the world. Although the program is currently only launched in Europe, any band can apply to have their music added to the Spotify database. This can help market your music to a much wider audience than previously possible. However, to add your music to Spotify, you must contact an aggregator to put the music on for you.

      Navigate to the Spotify homepage, scroll down and click on "Labels and Artists" at the bottom of the page.

      Click on "list of aggregators we work with" in the middle of the page if you represent a label. If you are trying to get your own unsigned band on Spotify, click on "artist aggregators we work with."

      Select one of the aggregators from the list available that you would like to join. This will take you to their website.

      Sign up with the site of your choosing. Enter your personal details such as name, address, email address and band information.

      Select the "Contact" option on the site and take note of the email address for site support.

      Open up an email and enter the email address of the aggregator into the "To" field. Attach some of your tracks and ask the site to place some of your tracks on Spotify. Click "Send" and wait for a reply from the aggregator.
