List on a piece of paper the basic facts about your career. Include your music education, accomplishments, popular places you've played and anything else you can think of. You don't have to include all of these items, but making a list will help you decide what to include in the biography.
Think about your influences, and list them on a piece of paper. Including the music that has influenced you will help people reading your biography figure out what type of musician you are.
Write in the third person, using your name instead of "I." Writing this way makes it appear as if someone else wrote your biography, and it sounds more professional.
Included your name, the instrument you play and the genre of your music in the first sentence. On the first reference of your name, use both your first and last name. After that, use either your first or last name.
Say how long you have played and whether you have any formal education in the next sentence. Include any accolades, such as awards or recognitions.
Outline your early music career and briefly discuss your musical influences in the following sentences.
Describe your current projects in another paragraph. Talk about any music you are recording, places you regularly play or if you are planning a tour.
Add any other important facts from the list you made in Step 1.
