- To obtain the legendary items, you must go to the shop in the town of Alora and choose "Buy." When the list of items appears, press SELECT when the cursor scrolls over the item. The following is a list of items and the button you need to press to get them:

- After you have obtained the Gaia Blade and Helm, return to where the giant monster attacks the town of Alora. Walk into the water just below the tree at the right side of the screen. You will find the Gaia Breastplate.
- To obtain the Silver Helm, go to the secret treasure room in the castle of the town of Rhapthorne. You will need to have cleared the forest maze to get there. Walk into the top-right corner of the room just below the fountain and you will obtain the helm.
- To obtain the Dragon Mail, complete the forest maze and enter the castle in the town of Rhapthorne's castle. Head to the room filled with water by first jumping down a hole in the room next to the throne. Swim the water and use your magic to push the statue to the bottom-left corner of the screen. Climb up the wall that appears when you push the statue and open the chest you find to get the Dragon Mail.
- Go to the town of Alora and sell as many gold rings as you want. Each gold ring sells for 1350. After selling your gold rings, press Start to go to the main menu. Now go back to the game by selecting "Continue." Your rings will be back and you can sell them again. Repeat as desired.
- Go to the town of Rhapthorne before heading to the final battle. Go into the item shop by stepping through the purple curtain. Talk to the first shop owner and press R to sell your items. Sell some of your items, but don't sell any keys or the Gaia Helm if you have it. After selling your items, open your inventory and hit X on an item you want to duplicate. Go to the shop owner and press L now to buy back your items. Select everything except for the item you just duplicated. Go back into your inventory and you should have two of that item. You can also do this with keys, but you must press Y (not X) to use the keys.
- Equip either a Gaia Shield or a Gaia Helm if you have them while in a fight. Press X once to bring up the menu. The cursor should be on "Items." Press Up to move it to "Magic." Press R to use the magic from the Gaia Shield or Gaia Helm. While the message is on the screen, press Start. You will still see your HP on the screen, but you can get hit, and your HP will never decrease.
