Disconnect the negative battery terminal to avoid any electrical shorts or injuries
Remove the center vent trim on the dash using a flat-tip screwdriver or trim removal tool. Work carefully to pry it up and pop it off.
Locate the two Phillips-head screws exposed beneath the vent trim. Remove these screws. (On some models, there may only be one screw to remove)
Pull the radio control bezel (where the radio controls and buttons are located) straight out from the dash to release it from the mounting brackets. Disconnect any electrical connectors at the rear that may still be attached. Set the bezel aside.
Reach into the dashboard opening and locate the four 7mm-head screws holding the radio in place. Remove these screws.
Once all four screws are removed, gently pull the radio out of the dash opening until the wiring harnesses and antenna cable disconnect.
Disconnect any remaining wiring harnesses and the antenna cable from the rear of the radio. Make a note of where each one connects for easy reinstallation.
Once all connections are detached, remove the radio from the vehicle
If you are not installing a new radio immediately, cap off the wiring to prevent any electrical hazards and reconnect the battery.
