How old is the English channel?

There is no definitive answer to the question of how old the English Channel is, as it depends on the definition of the term "channel". In the狭义上, the English Channel is a strait that connects the English Channel and the North Sea, and its formation can be traced back to the last ice age, around 10,000 years ago, when rising sea levels flooded the lowlands between Britain and France. More broadly, the English Channel can be considered part of the Atlantic Ocean, which was formed around 180 million years ago.
