How many Shakespeare plays are books?

All of Shakespeare's plays are books, as they have all been published in book form. The first edition of Shakespeare's works, known as the First Folio, was published in 1623 and contained 36 plays. Since then, many other editions of Shakespeare's works have been published, including individual editions of each play, as well as complete works that include all of the plays.
